Mission Statement
The Mission of M.I.N.D. for Jesus is to put God’s Word into practice by serving segments of the community that may not have a voice or resources. Supporting this segment of the community will stir them and those around them in return. By ministering to prison inmates our desire is to change hearts and minds while still incarcerated. Once inmates are released we continue to provide guidance and basic needs. Our summer program is a street ministry where we share Christian Literature and provide a simple meal. We serve approximately 125 to 150 people each week. With your support, we would be able to extend this ministry to over 200 people. We have an annual Christmas toy giveaway to provide toys to children of inmates and those in low-income areas, who might otherwise be forgotten at this special time of the year. In addition, we visit nursing homes and donate gifts to patients. We are currently able to provide toys and gifts for 110 children and about 90 elderly patients at Parkridge Nursing Home. Our newest mission is to be able to provide after school support. We want to teach the children about Jesus and give them an early start on how to trust Jesus now to avoid gangs, violence, and drug use. Also, “New “ to the ministry is mentoring at-risk children at Grand Park Alternative School located at 2335 West 18th St., Jacksonville, Fl. These children have been suspended from public school for disciplinary problems.
